Going to see Duffy tonight at First Ave. I can’t wait!!! Love her songs “Mercy” and “Milk and Honey”. She graced the cover of Spin magazine this month and is making her talk show circuit. Going to be a fun show!
July China Trip July 29, 2008
I’m back from my trip. Longest 17 days of my life. We worked 15 days straight. Picked up a nasty cold. my overall health is on the mend again. Exhausted but had a good trip. Head back at the end of August for a follow up trip. Trees are a demanding business. I don’t have many pictures to share with you as the main focus was trees. Did see some plastics and decor items in production. I am so happy to be home sweet home!

my long 4th of july weekend was very uneventful. i think i saw daylight four times the entire weekend. taking care of my sinsus! i did make a hh at britts and jed’s bday celebration.
appt at mayo today was successful. hung out with the mayo brothers for a while. doc stocked me up three weeks worth of meds and the clearance to fly to asia on thursday! hip. hip. hooray!

it was weird being a patient at mayo. but i do have to say, it is a wonderful amazing place. had the ct scan in the morning. met with a really cool dr. got some type of cocaine pushed up my nose (never experienced that before!) had a tiny microscope pushed all the way up into my sinus cavity. i saw it all on a tv. technology rocks.
basically, we all have these little swifter guys in our sinus that push out all the bad junk. the virus stunned my little guys and they are out of work. on top of that my left and upper sinus’s are completely blocked. since i’ve been sick for going on 2 months with this, it’s going to be more difficult to treat.
add in the factor that i need to fly to asia next week. my dr. accelerated my treatment and i am on some serious meds. stronger antibiotics, steroids, nasal spray, and some type of allergy meds. need to get myself a pill box. follow up appt on monday. if my sinus’s aren’t opening then that will be trouble. the doc already is recommending that i don’t go on this trip. we will revisit this on monday.
so another weekend approaches, in fact, a holiday weekend and i had to cancel all my 4th plans. not a happy camper. to add to the pain, i got a health lecture from mom and dad. i’m burning my candle at both ends. i need to take vitimins. eat better. cut down the drinking (no more jag bombs?). get enough sleep. i feel like i’m 80 years old.
