i somehow ended up sitting 2nd row at the billy joel concert last night. it was his birthday…the dude is 58 and he still knows how to rock it! it was one of the most entertaining shows i’ve ever been to!!

i always wonder to myself….how do these things happen to me?
so, i’ve was racing last week to pull together a presentation for an organization that we are partnering with. it is the first time that i would be presenting our golf line. perfect audience as they want to learn about us, not some rigid retailer.
we kicked the day off by having breakfast with the uppers at the mpls club. driving them back for the office tour/presentation and i get rear ended.
thankfully, no one is hurt, except dj. of course, the man who hit me is completely sketchville. he tells me his gf is on the way and would i tell the police that she was driving as he got into a bit of trub last week and really isn’t suppose to be driving. turns out he does not have a valid license.
i told the whole truth and nothing but the truth and in return had to wait an hour while the police wrote up an accident report. beside the death glares from mr. sketchville, dj and i got out of there in 2 hours.
i returned just in time as the presentation was ending. kind of funny, but not really. i was able to chauffer them around for the rest of the day, driving 10 and 2 and driving really carefully. we got them saftely to the airport for their flight back to nyc.

i’ve been m.i.a. lately. life has been crazy. it is a good thing.
let’s see, aqualung at the fine line was a great show. sushi hh, dessert at 112 and live music. is there anything better than that? love love aqualung live. love.
ran wells fargo half marathon today in the windy, rainy weather. i started with my running girls, but ended up running most of the race on my own. i really wanted to prove that i still have it in me , you know, that i’m still a runner. despite the hills, lack of training, and weather, i ran a respectable 1:57:40. not rockstar timing but i was really happy with it.
insane week at work and i’m out of here on thursday. flying to MKE for abbey and mike’s wedding. can. not. wait.
why is it that summer is always chocked full life? may is full of endless outlandish social activities. june is my birthday month. i will be traveling a big chunk of june to china and think i will be celebrating my bday on the airplane. maybe i will live it up in business class and have an extra glass of champagne.
it is moments like this, when you are extremly content with where you are and just looking forward to what is in store. these are the days that you cherish.
